Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-09-03
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Clode for Slack application ("the app"), which connects Clode AI agents to Slack. The app is provided in connection with the Clode / aramb platform available at clode.io ("Clode"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By adding the app to a Slack workspace, or by using it to interact with an agent, you agree to be bound by these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where you install for an organization, on behalf of that organization. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app. You must have authority to install applications in the relevant Slack workspace.
2. Description of the service
The app lets members of a Slack workspace interact with Clode AI agents by @mentioning them in channels, direct messages, group messages, and threads. When mentioned, an agent reads the relevant conversation context, generates a response using the Clode platform, and can reply, add reactions, and work with files. The app is mention-only and acts only when an agent is explicitly mentioned. The service, including agent behavior and availability, may change over time.
3. Agents are configured by the installing workspace or builder
Agents are created and configured within the Clode console by the workspace, organization, or builder that owns them — including their instructions, connected tools, and knowledge. The app is the Slack surface for those agents; it does not define their behavior. You are responsible for the agents you configure and deploy, for the instructions you give them, and for reviewing their output before relying on it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app to:
- violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others;
- upload, request, or generate content that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, the Clode platform, Slack, or other users' data;
- interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the service, or circumvent its rate limits or security controls;
- use the app to build a competing service by scraping or reverse engineering it, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
You must also comply with Slack's terms and the terms of any LLM provider or third-party service involved in running your agents.
5. Your content
You retain your rights in the messages, files, and other content you provide to the app. You grant us the limited rights needed to process that content to operate the service — that is, to run the mentioned agent and return its response — as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit the content you provide.
6. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes may be accompanied by additional notice. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
7. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI agents can produce inaccurate or incomplete output; you should independently verify important results and not rely on the app as a sole basis for decisions. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Clode or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the app will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid, if any, for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clode and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the app, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by removing it from your Slack workspace, which revokes its access. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction specified by Clode, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. [Governing-law jurisdiction and venue to be specified.]
